Cody Gallery is pleased to present “Tactile Hallucinations.” A tactile hallucination is a false sensation of physical contact with an imaginary object. The tactile sensory input generates a hallucinatory effect. The works in the exhibition, ether two dimensional or three dimensional objects, render textured surfaces that either simulate or inspire the sensory feeling of touch. They offer a palpable aesthetic that serve as a key to unlock familiar thoughts and feelings as well as create new observations.
